Orthodontics is more than straight teeth.
Misaligned teeth and jaws aren't just a cosmetic issue. They cause gum disease, worn enamel, jaw pain, fracture risk, and lifelong dental costs. These are the cases a specialist clinic is built to diagnose and treat properly.
Crowded, overlapping teeth
When the jaw doesn't have room for every tooth, they twist and stack on top of each other. The damage isn't just cosmetic, overlap traps plaque, makes flossing nearly impossible, and quietly accelerates gum disease and decay between teeth.
Bad bite: overbite, underbite, crossbite, open bite
How your teeth meet matters more than how they look. A misaligned bite loads the jaw unevenly, chips and wears down enamel, and over years contributes to TMJ pain, headaches, and cracked teeth. We diagnose the pattern and correct the underlying mechanics.
Protruding upper teeth & lip strain
Upper front teeth that stick out are roughly three times more likely to fracture in a fall or sports impact. They also cause constant lip strain and dry-mouth issues. Orthodontics retracts them safely, without extracting healthy teeth in most cases.
Gaps, missing teeth & pre-implant alignment
Naturally spaced teeth, gaps from old extractions, or teeth that drifted after a missing tooth all need careful re-positioning. Before crowns, bridges, or implants, the teeth must be in the right place. We coordinate directly with our prosthodontist and implant team.
Children's jaw growth & oral habits
Narrow upper jaw, anterior crossbite, thumb-sucking, tongue-thrust, mouth breathing. All best intercepted between ages 7 and 12, while the jaw is still growing. Catching these early often avoids extractions, jaw surgery, and far longer treatment in the teens.
Impacted teeth, skeletal & surgical cases
Severely receded chins, asymmetric jaws, canines stuck high in the bone, post-trauma realignment, and class III bites that need orthognathic surgery. These are the cases where a specialist clinic with surgery, periodontics, and prosthodontics on the same panel actually matters.
Complex cases often need more than one specialist: a tooth that needs a root canal before bracketing, a wisdom tooth that has to come out, gum work, or jaw surgery.
